Western Products, the leading manufacturer of snow and ice control equipment, has announced new products to its line of non-truck equipment: the WESTERN® IMPACT™ mid-duty UTV straight blade plow.
“These new products for mid-duty UTVs and tractors are something we’ve been excited to share with our fleet owners for a long time,” said Tyler Jones, Product Manager of Non-Truck Snow & Ice Control Products for Western Products. “UTVs are agile and less expensive than other snow & ice service vehicles. When equipped with purpose-built products, UTVs can dominate sidewalk work and keep crews warm, safe, and inside a protected environment.”
The IMPACT mid-duty UTV plow features hydraulic positioning and a lightweight design that provides power, speed and precision for a tailored snow removal solution for mid-duty recreational utility vehicles. The 5’6″ and 6’0″ widths fit sidewalks perfectly, and strong components ensure commercial durability. The patent-pending Sway-Frame™ design allows the blade to shift from side-to-side, keeping the blade in line with the wheel track when angling. The hydraulic blade control allows the operator to quickly make blade adjustments—up/down and angle—from inside the cab for fast and efficient winter cleanup.
Sway-Frame Design
To ensure the blade stays aligned with the wheel track, the unique patent-pending Sway-Frame™ design allows the blade to shift side-to-side. This keeps the blade in the optimal position to maximize cleanup with each pass, preventing the UTV wheels from packing down missed snow.
Reliable Hydraulics
Full-hydraulic operation allows the operator to position the plow left, right, up, down, or float from inside the cab. This hydraulic system has been designed to operate on mid-duty UTV plows, minimizing amperage draw and weight for seamless operation. In addition, the fully enclosed components are protected from the elements.
Lightweight Quick Attachment System
The mounting system is easy to use and install. To make operation easier, the mounting system optimizes ground clearance when installed. Tough construction will allow it to withstand harsh conditions year-over-year.
Ground Clearance
The removable receivers and low profile undercarriage provide exceptional ground clearance to maximize ramp angle, so your unit will be trail ready when the plow is not attached.

Blade Construction
The IMPACT™ Mid-Duty straight blade snow plow features a 14-gauge powder coated steel moldboard that is 5’6″ or 6’0″ wide with a standard 5″ steel cutting edge.
Structural Reinforcement
With four vertical ribs and high-strength, low alloy steel construction, the mid-duty straight blade is strong enough for commercial operation yet light enough to fit most mid-duty UTVs.
Trip Protection
Two heavy-duty coil springs protect your plow and UTV by allowing the whole blade to trip when striking obstacles.
Weatherproof Plow Control
The deluxe plow control is IP66-rated against moisture and offers hand-held or dash-mounted operation for added versatility. The weather-resistant control features large, durable switches which are easy to use-even with heavy gloves on.

Shoe Kit
Protect your plow and the road. Ride above the uneven surfaces of gravel and dirt with plow shoes. The cast iron construction and shape ensures that your plow glides over gravel and dirt at the perfect height. The shoe kit extends cutting edge and base angle life when plowing rocky or abrasive surfaces.
Rubber Snow Deflectors
Control the snow and always see where you’re going with optional deflectors. The 2-ply rubber snow deflector custom fits the IMPACT™ UTV V-plow blades. Bolt on steel plates ensure proper positioning of the deflectors to keep your view clear and clean.
Poly Cutting Edge
Protect decorative concrete, driveways and other delicate surfaces with these poly cutting edges. Made of resilient compounds that allow for longer life, these poly edges adjust to road surface irregularities without gouging and quickly remove all types of snow.
