In a recent conversation with Russ Wallace of Switch-N-Go, we learned about how the company intends to satisfy its base class five and six markets along with plans to make a foray into other class markets as well, thanks to innovations involving the 60CA and its versatility.
Innovations and New Products Abound
Upon interviewing Russ Wallace from Switch-N-Go, he stated they have traditionally satisfied the class five and six markets. They also cover a portion of class 4 markets, but primarily class five and six markets are their bread and butter. Wallace says, “However, new in 2023 for us, we now can offer a couple systems for the 60CA shorter trucks. Behind me is an F350 which is a prototype unit. It’s our lighter system to maximize payload on that truck but it also incorporates a 60CA, so it’s a short truck. Indeed, this is also great for plowing turning radius. This F350 60CA is a prototype we’re showing and we’re going to be allowing the product to hit the market soon”.
Versatility of Switch-N-Go
Switch-N-Go also plans on venturing into class 3 markets with larger 195 GVW trucks. They have a new 60CA system for that size truck. Wallace states, “Again these shorter trucks, which are ideal for plowing, are now able to have interchangeable bodies on them with Switch-N-Go. We’re excited for those customers to be able to access the interchangeability and upgrade to a Switch-N-Go system.
With Switch-N-Go the whole premise is the ease of being able to do jobs where you can react quickly. For example, when a storm comes through, as the weather changes, you’re able to make your truck adapt instead of having to fork on a new body and you know, put that salt spreader on there and tie up that truck.
Basically, it’s just a three-minute interchangeability so being able to set a body on the ground and work out of it at ground level from the landscape side also gives you a lot more flexibility’.
