Innovations

Upon interviewing Zoltan Nemeth from Nordik Blades, he provided us with some insights regarding the newly marketed Nordik Booster. Nemeth states, “so our latest and greatest is the Nordik Booster, which is a contouring blade system that follows the shape and the contour of the road.

So because of that, it cleans like many other blades can’t, which is innovation number one. Innovation number two is a feature that we have on the booster with teeth in the front that will help the blades penetrate ice and snow.

Versatility and Newfound Solutions

Nemeth informs, “while there are other moving blades on the market, moving blades in general are designed to move over obstacles to preserve the blade and prevent the impact from damaging the blade. What is hardpack snow from a moving blade perspective?

It’s an irregularity on the road surface surpassing roads so those moving blades will tend to move over those instead of really digging in. Therefore, we have a solution in which there is a first line of defense on the booster that will penetrate into hard packs. Furthermore, we have the blade portion which cleans everything off. This blade will work with snow or ice individually, and if there’s a mixed bag of both, this blade will be sufficient as well.

Users have stated this is the first time where these two industries are really coming together. In other words, when we had snow and ice the blades were cleaning better, and when we had hard packs the blades were doing great, so why not combine these two and bring a solution that is versatile and could be used for either conditions?”
