Snow Plow News sat down with Mike Zimprich of Hiniker to talk about an exciting product development in the works. Hiniker has been producing V-plows since around 2000, but they’re about to bring something new to the table in 2025: a 7.5-foot V-Plow designed specifically for half-ton trucks.

Zimprich explained that the team has been testing the new plow in the field under real-world conditions, and the results so far have been very positive. At an estimated 510 pounds, the plow is light enough for most half-ton trucks, filling a gap in Hiniker’s current lineup.

“We’ve been building V-plows for a long time—our lineup includes 8.5-, 9.5-, and even 10-foot models,” Zimprich said. “But we realized we’ve missed the 7.5-foot market for half-tons, and it’s time we get in.”

The company is also working on naming the new plow, moving beyond just model numbers to give each plow a stronger identity. Like all Hiniker plows, the upcoming 7.5-foot V-Plow will also be available in a skid-steer configuration.

With more manufacturers entering the 7.5-foot V-Plow space, Hiniker’s upcoming release will bring trusted experience and innovation to a market that continues to grow. Snow contractors looking for a half-ton solution should keep an eye out for the official unveiling in 2025.
