Hilltip has introduced the new SnowStriker™ SFT Flex expandable box plow, giving operators a way to adjust their clearing width hydraulically while working.
Designed for tractors, loaders and skid steers from 1 to 4 tons, the SFT Flex combines the containment of a box plow with adjustable sections that can be expanded or narrowed depending on the application.
Three Adjustable Plow Sizes
The SnowStriker SFT Flex is available in three models, each offering a range of clearing widths:
- 13-21 SFT: 4 feet, 3 inches to 6 feet, 11 inches
- 15-25 SFT: 4 feet, 11 inches to 8 feet, 2 inches
- 18-29 SFT: 5 feet, 11 inches to 9 feet, 6 inches
The adjustable design allows operators to narrow the plow when working in tighter areas and expand it when clearing larger driveways, yards and parking areas.
The hydraulically actuated side plates can also be independently folded. This allows the SFT Flex to function as a conventional straight-blade plow, with snow rolled to either side.
Designed to Follow Uneven Surfaces
The SFT Flex blade is designed to tilt and oscillate as it travels over uneven ground, helping the cutting edge maintain contact with the surface.
Relief valves on the side plates allow them to trip when an obstacle is encountered, helping protect the attachment from damage.
Operators can choose between steel, ice-cutting and polyurethane cutting edges depending on their application.
Available options include LED edge markers, custom mountings, a 12V/24V electric valve, plow shoe kit, four-line hydraulic system and high-visibility orange paint.
Built for a Range of Equipment
Hilltip constructed the SFT Flex from high-strength, powder-coated steel with an emphasis on durability while keeping the attachment relatively light.
The three models weigh:
- 816 pounds — 13-21 SFT
- 1,080 pounds — 15-25 SFT
- 1,190 pounds — 18-29 SFT
Hilltip says the design is intended to provide versatility across a range of winter maintenance applications.
“Compared with other box plows, the SFT Flex offers unmatched versatility for use in a wider range of winter maintenance applications,” said Craig Sandmann, managing director for Hilltip North America. “Nothing else offers the same level of efficiency and precision with every pass.”
The SnowStriker SFT Flex is backed by a two-year warranty.
