BOSS DXT V-Plow Snowplow Features
Snow Plow News met up with Mark Klossner from BOSS at the Work Truck Show to go over why he thinks snow contractors like the DXT V-Plow. He says one of the main features that make it unique in the market is right in the name. The “D” in DXT stands for “Dual.” It’s the only v-plow out there that has both trip-edge and full moldboard trip features. This gives contractors trip protection for both high and low obstacles. Whether you hit a manhole cover or a frozen snowbank, you are protected with this patented dual-trip design.
The BOSS DXT v plow is also designed with a direct lift cylinder so it’s not using lift chains. In other words, it has a chainless hydraulic cylinder lifting system that reduces bounce and gives it full float capabilities. It’s been a few decades since BOSS went to the direct lift cylinder, so it’s stood the test of time and proven to be a reliable system.
All of the contractor grade snowplows from Boss are wired for easy switching between trucks. Whether you have the DXT v plow or a straight blade, you have total fleet flexibility. The BOSS mount and electrical system give you a plug and play ease for connection.
BOSS DXT V-Plow Patented Dual Trip Design
One of the most unique features of the BOSS DXT v plow is the blade’s patented dual trip design. BOSS combines both a trip-edge and full moldboard trip system giving contractors two-fold trip protection from obstacles of all heights. It’s not just the typical trip edge for manhole and curb protection, the full moldboard trip protects contractors from taller obstacles like guard rails, rocks, and frozen snowbanks.
