The commercial vehicle and work truck industry continues to evolve rapidly, and Work Truck Week® 2026 is positioning itself as a key education and training hub for that change. From advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to artificial intelligence (AI), the 2026 educational program addresses the technologies, regulations, and operational strategies shaping the future of vocational fleets — including snow and ice operations.

Scheduled for March 10–13, 2026, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Work Truck Week brings together fleet managers, dealers, upfitters, manufacturers, and service providers for three days of training, insights, and hands-on experience. The event is produced by NTEA – The Work Truck Association and remains the largest work truck gathering in North America.

Education Built for Real-World Fleet Challenges

The 2026 educational program spans entry-level courses through advanced strategic sessions, giving both new and experienced professionals tools they can apply immediately. Topics range from fleet management fundamentals and towing dynamics to advanced fleet analytics, carbon accounting, ADAS integration, and AI-driven decision-making.

Sessions are organized across eight focused tracks:

  • Advanced Fuels & Vehicle Technology
  • Chassis Update
  • Dealership Training
  • Fleet Management
  • Government Regulations & Advocacy
  • Market Data & Industry Trends
  • Vehicle Design & Certification
  • Workforce Development

For snow contractors and municipal plow fleets, these sessions provide timely insight into vehicle spec’ing, compliance considerations, lifecycle cost management, and workforce retention — all areas under increasing pressure.

Special Sessions Offer Deeper Dives

Work Truck Week 2026 includes several Special Sessions designed for in-depth learning. These sessions are purchased separately and go beyond standard breakout formats.

Workforce development takes center stage on Wednesday, March 11, with communication and leadership workshops led by Jon Colby of Jon Colby Speaks LLC. Sessions focus on improving internal communication, leadership presence, and team collaboration — critical skills in labor-challenged fleet environments.

Fleet professionals can also attend the returning all-day Getting Started with Fleet Management workshop, along with Advanced Principles of Fleet Management, both led by RTA Fleet experts. These sessions cover foundational best practices as well as advanced decision-making strategies relevant to complex, multi-vehicle operations.

Dealers and upfitters can attend Driving Commercial Dealer Sales Through Planning for Strategic Growth, a Thursday session led by strategists from One Nexus, focused on aligning offerings with evolving fleet needs.

Breakout Sessions Address Technology, Compliance, and Cost Control

Most breakout sessions run 75 minutes and are included with Work Truck Week and Green Truck Summit conference packages. Highlights relevant to snow and work truck professionals include:

  • Implications for ADAS Adoption in Multi-Stage Commercial Vehicles
  • The Work Truck Industry Professional’s Guide to AI Applications
  • Leveraging Total Cost of Ownership to Improve Vehicle Acquisition Strategies
  • State of Emissions Regulations and Their Impact on Multi-Stage Vehicles
  • Vehicle Certification and Compliance in the Order Process
  • Powertrain Specification Considerations for Vocational Vehicles

These sessions aim to help fleet operators better navigate regulatory changes, technology integration, and long-term vehicle investment decisions.

OEM Chassis Updates Remain a Major Draw

Work Truck Week remains the only event where more than a dozen major OEMs deliver annual chassis updates in one place. Attendees hear directly from manufacturers about new specifications, upfitting considerations, and future technology plans.

Participating OEMs include Daimler Truck North America, Ford Pro, GM Envolve, International, Isuzu, Kenworth, Mack Trucks, Peterbilt, Ram Professional, and others.
