The new MAX-Series Skid Steers from ASV are the next-generation in performance, operator experience and much more!

ASV is known as the creators of America’s original compact track loader, ASV has a strong belief that no matter where customers are working, they should be able to complete the job quickly and with ease. It is with this belief in mind that ASV expanded their new MAX-Series lineup with the addition of the vertical-lift VS-75 and radial-lift RS-75 skid steers.

Buck Storlie, ASV product line manager says, “ we’re excited to give operators the option to achieve that same level of premium experience in a skid steer. The improved comfort, visibility and ease-of-use mean happier operators and easier workdays.”

These new skid steers have a new cab, a roomier operator area, a more comfortable seat, a new high-tech touch-screen display and of course the reliability, performance and operating capacities ASV is known for. Let’s explore some of the new features of the vertical-lift VS-75 and radial-lift RS-75 skid steers.

Next-Generation Cab

The new Next-Generation Cab has 360-degree visibility with standard LED lighting, optional side lighting, all-clear sides and a frameless door with a floor to ceiling glass area.

The new cab has an optional fully suspended seat that makes the cab accessible to all body types. The seat features adjustable four-way controls and arm rests, recline, slide and weight. Entering and exiting the cab is made easier with the one-sided lap bar. The cab is also roomier with up to 2 more inches width at the shoulders, 8 inches width at the knees and up to 4.5 inches more foot room. Speaker and radio improvements including available blue-tooth radio that allows operators to listen to music and make calls wirelessly.

Radial-Lift RS-75 Skid Steer

The optional highly-pressurized, all weather cab offers operators a cleaner, quieter and more temperature-stable work area. The optional pressurized cab helps to repel noise, dust and debris and outside temperatures. The updated HVAC system allows for better overall circulation and defrosting capabilities within the cab. The cab also includes water-tight wiring harnesses and fuse panels.

Performance

The radial-lift, 75-horsepower RS-75 includes a 2,600-pound rated operating capacity and a 5,845-pound breakout force. The vertical-lift VS-75 features a 5,920-pound breakout force and an impressive 3,500-pound rated operating capacity for its 75 horsepower. The VS-75’s high capacity rivals many 95 to 100 horsepower units, giving operators the ability to have the fuel economy and reduced price of a lower horsepower machine but the performance of some of the largest skid steers out there.

ASV is known for machines that can maneuver over and around obstacles with ease. The MAX-Series has 10.5 inches of ground clearance, more than 2 inches higher than any machine in their class. In addition, the purpose-built chassis improves performance while climbing hills resulting from a 24-degree departure angle.

Operator Experience

The MAX-Series improves ease of operation, service scheduling and job management with an optional state-of-the-art 7-inch touch-screen display. Operators can view the backup camera, service history, schedules and more!

The controls improve convenience with a new dual throttle option, allowing operation at a set RPM with the joystick controls and the ability to increase the RPM with the foot throttle without needing to adjust the dial.

Protection

The machines include the industry’s first skid-steer roof escape hatch, allowing operators to quickly get out through the roof rather than through the back window and over a hot engine bay in emergency situations. Models also include rollover protection (ROPS) and reinforced windows for impact resistance. Additionally, ASV offers options for increased protection, including side screens, reinforced polycarbonate door, level 2 FOPS, and light guards. ASV also offers its new 2-year/2,000-hour warranty.
