We all know that the ability to apply brine as a pre-treatment or as a deicing agent is both superior and cheaper than applying dry material. Yet the problem has been the cost of the equipment to start using brine that made it not worth using. It is not just the cost of the brine equipment itself, but the hookup as well, with plumbed in water lines and massive electrical requirements keeping contractors away.
No wonder most contractors have stuck with the tried and true method of using salt and/or sand.
Enter in SnowEx’s new answer, the SnowEx Brine Pro. SnowEx has made its attempt to bring the equipment within reach of the average contractor.
If you can deliver water by a garden hose in your shop, and you have at least one 220 volt outlet (not too expensive to install if you don’t), you can be in the brine business. Not only will you have a superior way to pre-treat and deice, you will also be able to differentiate yourself from the competition delivering a more effective, more environmentally friendly service than regular dry material application.
SnowEx bills the Brine Pro as a way for the average snow contractor to take control of their costs in the ice removal portion of your business. Easy to install and sized right for the average contractor, the machine can make up to 1,050 gallons of brine solution per hour right in your shop.
It is also easy to use. After hooking up the electrical and water, you dump salt in the 1 cu. ft. yard hopper, use the touch screen controls, and the machine does the rest, controlling the salinity and the material flow for you.
The mixing chamber ensures a brine solution that is consistent and it is all hands off. When it is time to clean out the machine, that is a piece of cake as well, with its special cleaning mode to remove anything that was in the salt that did not dissolve.
If you only need a small amount of brine at a time, the unit comes with a 285 gallon brine tank (for larger amounts you can also buy storage tanks from SnowEx). SnowEx wants to see the average contractor get into the brine application market and they think they have the right combination of equipment to help contractors jump in with both feet (without slipping on any ice).
It does look like SnowEx has given the average contractor another “tool in their arsenal,” this time in the deicing side of the business.
